Blue Collar Doghouse
July 2024 Important Updates Hello and Woof to our Blue Collar Doghouse family. We want to start by saying thank you for all the love and support you give us, and the trust you continue to have in allowing us to care for your furry family members. There are some changes coming in the following weeks, and in an effort to keep you informed we would appreciate that you read this newsletter in its entirety. If you find yourself with any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to Haley or Jess by sending us an email to [email protected]. Once received, we will happily set up a time to chat further <3 |
Change in Hours
Beginning the week of July 15th, we will begin closing daycare at 6pm. We understand this may be impactful for a select few who regularly need daycare past this time, please reach out if this is the case so we can further discuss. Our goal is not to add stress to you, but to allow us the proper time to keep our facilities clean and disinfected for the safety of your pups. Again, please do not panic! If you have questions or concerns, simply reach out!
Boarding Drop-off Time's
Going forward, we are highly recommending that all boarding dogs be dropped off by 2pm. We have found that drop off's later in the afternoon can be difficult due to the wide range in energy levels. Imagine your playful dog coming in at 4pm when the remainder of the group is down and out from playing all day, wouldn't that be sad? There will be a note reminding you of this in our portal when requesting a reservation. If you do select a time after 2pm, please be aware that it may be denied and you may be required to come earlier.
Addition of Card Processing Fee
Many of us are already to accustom to local small businesses implementing of processing fee for card transactions. Rather than an overall price increase, we will be adding a 3.5% fee for all card transactions. It is important to note that this will be waved if paying with cash or check. We do appreciate your understanding!
Expiration Dates on Prepaid Service Packages
As a reminder, as of October 2023 all prepaid Daycare days do expire within 6 months of purchase. If you have questions regarding your package, please visit our customer portal where you will be able to see this information. If your package does not have an expiration date listed, it is likely that it was purchased before this change, and will fall under the old rule of a 12 month expiration.
Arriving for Boarding and Daycare
We are kindly asking that you help us smooth our arrival process for both daycare and boarding services. As you all know, our lobby can get very busy and we are proud to continue to offer reservation free daycare. With that being said, we are unable to control the physical volume of our lobby and need your help by displaying both kindness and patience at drop off and pick up. Here are 3 things we kindly ask:
1. Potty Walk: Please, take your dog for a brief potty walk before coming into the lobby. As reminder we ask you do not allow your dogs to potty by the front door, there are signs displayed for clarity. We have seen a significant increase in dogs that come in and immediately urinate large volumes at the gate to enter daycare. If this is the case, we will begin asking you if you have walked your dog prior to entry.
2. Patience: Please, allow yourself time to drop off and pick up your dog. While we try to be as quick as possible, we are needing to put some of this responsibility on you as a client. If the front desk team is working with someone, DO NOT allow your dog to run back towards the daycare door. Please wait your turn, and we will let you know when we are ready.
3. Leashes: While we have seen significant improvement, this is a reminder that we do ask you to have your dog leashed at all times in our lobby. If you choose to hold their collar, they must stay restrained until we are ready for them. It is always possible that we have a reactive dog coming out of our self wash area in the far corner, at any given time. Please be responsible and do not allow your dog to free roam in our lobby.
