Our Daycare

Our daycare is designed to cater to the wide variety of dogs we see! We have over 10,000sq/ft. of indoor/outdoor space that allows us to put the effort into finding the best environment for each dog. Whether they want to run and play with other dogs in large groups, lounge around with their furry and two legged companions, or find a more intimate play session with just a few friends, we aim to provide the best fit for them. While it's important to understand that not all dogs are ideal candidates for daycare, you can be sure we will do what we can to find the best fit for your furry family member.

Important Daycare Policies:

Please understand you will be held responsible for this information and we recommend you read in detail.

  • Dogs must be 16 weeks of age. Younger dogs may be considered if all rounds of Bordetella and DHPP vaccines have been completed.

  • Daycare is for dogs that are ALREADY SOCIALIZED in off leash group settings. Dogs over 16 weeks MUST have experience as daycare is not the correct environment for dog to learn socialization. This is something you must work on with your dog prior to enrolling in daycare otherwise you can not guarantee their behavior in this setting.

  • Dogs MUST be pre socialized if over 16 weeks and maintain a level of independence at daycare. Separation anxiety is a behavior that is not suitable for a dog daycare environment.

  • Dogs must wear a quick release flat collar only! This must be left on during daycare and we will leash your dog directly to the collar to bring them to you at the end of the day. You are welcome to add any additional tools once your dog has been brought to you. To keep pick up quick, we ask you only give us the leash to collect your dog unless there is a medical need for a harness.

  • Dogs must be spayed or neutered after 9 months of age, but may not attend if they are actively in heat. Any dog exhibiting behaviors related to being unaltered such as excessive humping or aggression, will be excused until altered and such behaviors have resolved.

  • All dogs must be vaccinated for Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP prior to acceptance into daycare and overnight care.

  • The Bordetella vaccine is required every 6 months in order to attend daycare and overnight care.

  • Dogs must be non-aggressive to dogs and humans, and willing to approach, be approached, and comfortably handled by strangers.

  • Absences from daycare & kennel free boarding greater than 6 months will require a retrial as behaviors change with age. This is imperative for safety standards.

  • No dog should attend daycare if they show any signs of illness or infestation that could be transferred to other dogs. This includes but is not limited to: unexplained diarrhea, vomiting, coughing, parasitic infestation, papilloma virus, lethargy, or any suspicious changes in health and/or behavior.

  • All dogs must be treated for fleas year-round, to attend daycare or overnight care.

  • Drop off hours hours are 7am-12pm. Pick up hours are 7am-6pm.

  • To minimize stress to staff, dogs, and our neighbors, we must keep barking to a minimum. Dogs who exhibit excessive demand or anxiety barking during their stay may be prohibited from returning.

  • How much do you charge for grooming?
Please visit the grooming page for our estimated pricing. Please be aware that prices are subject to change.
  • I want my dog to be groomed, but they do not need a bath, is there a discount for this?
There is no discount on grooming for clients who request we do not bathe the dog prior to grooming. The reason for this is that it is actually more difficult to groom 'dirty' hair and therefore does not take less time.
  • I want to get the same groom as last time, do you have notes?
We take extensive notes during our grooms. Please keep this in mind when you come in for your next groom! Simply asking for the same cut as last time is very helpful for your groomer.
  • My groom's price is higher this time, is that normal?
Please understand that grooming prices are subject to change from appointment to appointment. There are many factors in pricing which tend to fluctuate between grooms. These factors include but are not limited to: coat condition, size of dog, behavior, duration between grooms, and fragility of the dog. You can find our starting prices on our grooming page, as a reminder these are a base price estimation.
  • Why does my dog have a rash after their grooming appointment?
Every dog is different and it is always possible your dog may have a reaction to shampoos or conditioners. Our go-to shampoo is a hypo active shampoo that is gentle on the skin, we also have a no soap, fragrance free shampoo that is available upon request for dogs with major skin conditions or dogs that have very sensitive skin. • What products do you use?

  • Can my dog get injured during grooming?
The short answer is yes. While unlikely, there are injuries that can occur during the grooming procedure. Some common injuries during grooming are: hair in the eye which can lead to eye irritation, corneal laceration, or corneal ulcers if left untreated. Consider getting a hair stuck in your eye and not having any ability to get it out, so you rub, rub, rub your eye because it is irritated and itchy! The hair can cause an abrasion on the eye which can progress into an issue if they are allowed to scratch at and agitate their eye further. If your dog is scratching at their face/eye after their groom, examine the eye to ensure there is no hair or other foreign material causing the agitation. If you do not see anything, please put a cone on your pet to ensure they are unable to scratch at their face, and call your veterinarian for further advice. Other injuries that can occur are minor scratches (clipper burn), or splitting of the skin. This often happens when we need to remove mats from their coat. The longer mats are left, the closer they grow to the skin and this makes it increasingly hard to remove them without pulling on the skin itself. We will often have owners sign a waiver stating they acknowledge this risk if their dog is overly matted at check in. Lastly, our groomers do hand scissoring around the face and go very slowly to ensure nothing is clipped in the process. There are dogs that obsessively lick or smack during the grooming process and it is always possible that excessive movement could cause minor cuts and scrapes from the clippers or scissors. While this is very uncommon, we believe in transparency and ensuring that clients are educated in all aspects of grooming.
  • Will you groom my sedated dog?
Yes, we just ask that they are still alert and able to stand. Dogs that come to us overly sedated can be difficult and even unsafe to groom.
